A clean, modern answer to dining downtown.
Fresco Rooftop Restaurant and Lounge overlooks State Street, a hub of life in downtown Madison. Located on the third floor of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking in the Sculpture Garden, Fresco's menu items are highlighted with fresh, local, and seasonal products. Fresco's dishes are refined and artfully plated, which is in perfect harmony with the space. The restaurant is bright and open, with a clean modern vibe.
A inspired and balanced menu.
Try pairing the New American cuisine with something from Fresco's wine list. The list is curated by Sommelier Caitlin Suemnicht, and is updated regularly to provide a complementary selection geared toward enhancing the menu.
Fresh, local, seasonal cocktails.
Fresco Rooftop Restaurant and Lounge is known for their signature cocktails. Skilled bartenders craft these cocktails with fresh herbs, fruits, and quality liquors. Meant to delight, but not overwhelm the palate, the cocktails are not to be missed.
Executive Chef, John Jerabek.
Chef John Jerabek grew up in Casco, Wisconsin, a small town between Green Bay and Door County. At the age of 19, John started working in the restaurant industry, traveling from Milwaukee to Phoenix and back again. Upon returning to Wisconsin, John moved to Madison and worked under Tory Miller and Odessa Piper at L'Etoile. John enjoys working at Fresco because he appreciates cooking with fresh, local ingredients.
For events and catering.
Featuring fabulous views of the Capitol and State Street from the dining room, Fresco is a spectacular setting for business meetings, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and family celebrations. Available seven days a week, our restaurant accommodates up to 75 guests for lunch or dinner, up to 110 for cocktails. Planning your visit.
Fresco offers dinner service six nights a week and accepts reservations over the phone or online through Open Table. Parking is available in several parking ramps in the area, as well as street parking. Occasionally public ramps charge special event fees when there are performances at the Overture Center for the Arts, sports events and festivals. During those times the ramps are cash on entry.
Fresco Rooftop Restaurant and Lounge is located adjacent to Madison's Overture Center for Arts. It is a premier place to enjoy dinner before a show. Please note that reservations are highly recommended on those evenings.
